Xiaomi India has officially confirmed the launch date of the Redmi K50i and the latest smartphone for the country is set to go official nearly two weeks later. Let us take a look at what we can expect from this device:
Redmi K50i will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chip:
The smartphone is scheduled to launch in India on the 20th of July and it will officially launch via a live stream that will begin at 12 PM IST. It is unclear if the company will host a physical media event as it did with the Redmi Note 11 Series announcement.
In terms of the smartphone itself, it will be a rebranded version of the Note 11T Pro which also is sold as the POCO X4 GT in specific markets. The specs of the phone are already out with the exception of the pricing and the availability.
The phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chip paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It has a 6.6″ FHD+ LCD display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and a peak brightness level of 650 nits along with Dolby Vision support.
In terms of optics, it houses a triple camera unit on the rear with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide angle unit, and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, it features a 20MP selfie shooter.
Apart from this, the Redmi K50i comes with Dolby Atmos-supported dual-stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an x-axis linear vibration motor, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, VC liquid cooling technology, runs Android-12 with MIUI 13 on top, and features a 5,080mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. The K50i will arrive in 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB versions.
