The graphics giant NVIDIA has finally launched the highly rumoured GeForce GTX 1630 graphics card today, forming the lowest GPU in the product stack in GTX 16-series offered by NVIDIA. Featuring a Turing TU117-150 graphics processor with 512 CUDA cores, it is less powerful than a GTX 1650 GPU, which does have a lot of similarities otherwise.

Now, having a 64-bit memory bus and a bandwidth of 96 GB/s only, this is indeed the least powerful GPU launched by NVIDIA in years now but adds an option for entry-level gamers. The bandwidth is even less than you see on the ultra-popular GTX 1050 Ti, based on Pascal GP107 GPU, launched back in 2016.

Finally, NVIDIA launches a new budget GTX 1630 for gamers

The usage of a newer 4GB GDDR6 memory with a clock speed of 12Gbps is still better than the GTX 1050 Ti, however, the TDP of this affordable GPU remains capped at 75W only. So, a lot of gamers with low-end system could use this GTX 1630 as an upgrade and the only fact of having 1785 MHz boost clock speeds is a positive side.

We don’t have an exact idea of the performance of this graphics card in real life but for sure, NVIDIA wants to counter the likes of AMD’s RX 6400 and RX 6500 XT for sure with this new GTX 1630 graphics card. As for pricing, NVIDIA has no official words on this but most custom GPU makers like Colorful, Zotac, ASUS and others will be releasing their own GPUs with MSRPs rumoured close to 150 USD.
