First Kill (Season 2): Everything We Know About the Second Season

Netflix is going to release a big new premiere in 2022, First Kill, this is a teen drama series that revolves around a vampire who falls in love with a vampire hunter. Now the series will come for the second season.

After the arrival of 3rd  June 2022, the latest series belongs to V.E. Schwab reveals Juliette and Calliope who just falling into deep love on the screen that just has disappointed and definitely surprise everyone around them. The series features Imani Lewis as Calliope Burns, Sarah Catherine Hook as Juliette Fairmont, Elizabeth Mitchell as Margot Fairmont, and Gracie Dzienny as Elinor Fairmont.

The latest reviews of the series seemingly just broke the critics and the audiences. The current records show, on RottenTomatoes, the series just holds 52% with the critics but 93% so far along with the audiences. On IMDb, the show is just ticking with 6.2. It is just worth nothing as the series just garnered a big and vocal following on social media.

Now, Caroline Framke may be grinding on the show by telling:

“For all the work FirstKill puts into making sure it hits all the right notes, the series feels more like an uncanny valley version of what it’s attempting to be rather than a worthwhile story all its own.

First Kill (Season 2): Renewal Status

We think it’s too early to predict the second season. We should wait to see its performance in both the second and the third week then judge whether the series will get renewed. Now, if we can see such drops of over 50% while on the viewership it’s likely the series doesn’t stand a chance. We may cover the performance of the series in the upcoming section.

The renewal mainly depends on the performance of the series and particularly, how well it performs in weeks 2  and 3.

First Kill

First Kill (Season 1): Netflix Performance

In the first three days on Netflix globally, the series just got 30.34 million hours placing it in the top 7 for that week. It had up to against the stiff competition for the first week with Surviving Summer, and definitely, Stranger Things that is dominating both headlines and viewership.

Week PeriodHours Viewed(M)RankWeek in Top 10
June 5th, 2022 to June 12th, 202230,340,00071
June 12th, 2022 to June 19th, 202248,770,000 (+61%)32

In the second week, the series scored 48.77 million hours of view which just reveals a 61% boost in viewership.

The first three days can be compared to the debut of the other series as to how it’s got the views. If we draw a comparison would be In From The Cold, that’s another sci-fi/fantasy-esque series along with a similar makeup. It had achieved 24.72M hours in just the first 3 days of the service. The show still has not been renewed for a season 2 yet but it’s just noting that it could see a big 64% drop in viewership from the second to third week.

The data from Parrot Analytics suggests that show the interest in the second week shot up 90% and has placed the show in begin Ms. Marvel and beyond gaslit in terms of demand.

First Kill (Season 2): Expectation

In the finale of season 1, we have seen blood has flown and betrayal just burning after a shocking turn of events that left devastation in its wake and also can test such bonds of love between Cal and Juliette. The main lead to the big bust-up along with the relationship that seemingly seems dead between Juliette and Calliope will Cal just vowing to one day kill Juliette and also all legacies just like her.

The big story that just threads on going into the second season might be Theo who also now becomes a vampire and his entire journey into that world and coming to terms with the new reality.
