While English football season 2021/22 recently concluded, Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) just announced the 2022 awards winners last Thursday (9th June). Here we are bringing the list of all the PFA Awards 2022.
PFA Awards 2022 experienced the categories of PFA Players’ Player of the Year and PFA Young Player of the Year along with the PFA Merit Award in both men’s and women’s segments. During that ceremony, PFA Premier League Team of the Year and PFA WSL Team of the Year were also announced.
PFA Awards 2022 (only related to Premier League)
PFA Players’ Player of the Year: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)
Just a few days ago, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah won the PFA Fan’s Player of the Year award. Now, he won the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award. Along with Tottenham Hotspur’s forward Son Heung-min, Salah also finished as the joint-most goal-scorer at the end of the Premier League 2021/22 (23 goals). Moreover, Salah also finished the same Premier League season as the leading assist provider with 13 assists.
PFA Young Player of the Year: Phil Foden (Manchester City)
Phil Foden won the PFA Young Player of the Year award. It was his second consecutive PFA Young Player of the Year award. Just like the previous season, the youngster once again helped Manchester City win the Premier League 2021/22 title. In the latest Premier League season, Foden scored nine goals and assisted five times in his 28 appearances for the Sky Blues.

PFA Awards 2022 (Others related to first division)
PFA Players’ Player of the Year: Sam Kerr (Chelsea Women)
Chelsea Women forward Sam Kerr played a massive role in her team winning their fifth FA Women’s Super League (WSL) title in the 2021/22 season. She finished this competition as the leading goal-scorer with 20 goals. She also managed to provide four assists during this tournament.
PFA Young Player of the Year: Lauren Hemp (Manchester City Women)
The 21-year-old forward Lauren Hemp has now recorded her fourth PFA Young Player of the Year award. The Manchester City Women footballer scored 10 goals, and she also had six assists in the latest FA WSL season.
