Nokia at one point was the top dog in making mobile phones, but as times evolved and technology progressed, the company failed to evolve with the times and keep up which resulted in other companies biting into their market share and rising to the top.
Now the company is doing everything possible to survive, it has witnessed some amount of growth in the past couple of years and now the smartphone maker is making a comeback with a plan to ‘Make premium looking cheap phones’.
Nokia Mobile will launch multiple Nokia X and G Series 5G-supported smartphones in 2022:
As per sources, the Finnish smartphone maker will be launching new Nokia X and G Series 5G-supported smartphones in H2 of 2022. Many of these devices are set to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 480 Plus 5G chipset. The X-Series smartphones’ specifications still remain in the dark, it could feature a 120Hz refresh rate as even the premium G-Series smartphones offer a 120Hz display.
The upcoming series of smartphones could include the XR21, X21, and X11. As stated above, the smartphones will be powered by the Snapdragon 48- Plus 5G SoC which is an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 480 chip that came out in 2021.
The ‘Plus’ version does not offer something entirely new, it clocks higher at 200MHz with A76 cores and support for Bluetooth v5.2. Nokia was the second top feature phone retailer in Q1 of 2022 after iTel. The Nokia 105 became the most sold feature phone in Q1 of 2022.
The HMD-owned brand witnessed an 87% increase in revenue in North America while the Western Europe region witnessed a 37% growth this year.
