Sony launches the Sony Xperia 10 IV mid-range smartphone with the SD 695 SoC

Sony launched two new phones today, apart from its flagship Sony Xperia 1 IV, the Japanese company launched a budget offering as well, it is a new fourth-generation device that has been dubbed Sony Xperia 10 IV.

The design of this phone is similar to its predecessor, it arrives with upgraded software aspects. The latest offering from Sony has been called the world’s lightest 5G smartphone available in the entire market.

The Sony Xperia 10 IV arrives with a 6″ OLED display with a Full HD+ screen resolution and an aspect ratio of 21:9. It has a triluminous panel which is 50 percent brighter in comparison to its predecessor. Sony has provided a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for protection on the display.

The device has been powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G chipset based on the 6nm architectural process with support for 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The predecessor packed the Snapdragon 690 chipset.

In terms of optics, Sony has integrated a 12MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide angle lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom on the rear. You get features such as Superior Auto mode, Auto HDR, dedicated Night Mode, and more. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie shooter.

Apart from this, the device has the customary 3.5mm audio jack, LDAC support, 360 audio, and a 360 reality audio upmix to transform stereo into surround sound. It provides an amazing and immersive audio experience unparalleled to other devices.

The device has IP68 water and dust resistance rating, it runs on Android 12 OS with Sony’s custom UI on top. It has a 5,000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. Sony has not included a charger in the box citing environmental reasons.

The Xperia 10 IV has been priced at EUR 499 or 40,000 INR and is available in Black, White, Mint, and Lavender colors. It will go on sale in June, you can pre-order it for EUR 429 or 34,942 INR here.
