Google’s Pixel 6 Series launched last year with a brand new design and its own powerful Google Tensor chipset. The company is now focused on its next-generation Pixel 7 Series smartphones, the rumoured specs of the devices are now surfacing online.
In the latest report, the camera details of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro have been revealed. As per tipster Yogesh Brar, the upcoming flagship from Google will have the same camera setup as its predecessors.
Going by this report, the Pixel 7 will have a 50MP primary shooter along with a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The Pixel 7 Pro on the other hand will feature a triple-camera setup with a 50MP+48MP+12MP lens.
While the camera specs may seem mediocre, Google does not depend on only hardware but ensures that it optimizes the camera to the best of its ability in order to provide a premium experience.
Google’s optimization has been observed in the previous-generation models in the lineup, a lot of processing was handled by the software.
The Pixel 7 features a 6.3″ display while the Pixel 7 Pro has a 6.7″ display. The vanilla version has a non-LTPO display and offers a 90Hz refresh rate. The Pro version on the other hand will support a 120Hz refresh rate and will have an LTPO panel.
Both the devices will be powered by the successor to the Tensor, from the renders of the upcoming Pixel 7 Series, it appears that the design will remain the same but we can expect to see minor tweaks here and there.
The next-generation Pixel 7 Series smartphones could launch earlier than its usual timeframe. Speculation points out that the phones will launch in September, earlier than its usual October launch.
Ahead of the launch of the Pixel 7 Series, the company is launching the Pixel 6a, which is expected to officially launch next month.
