While the entire world has criticized Apple to use an age-old design on its new iPhone SE 2022, well, Indians seem very unhappy with this new Apple offering. Priced at ₹43,900 too for the 64GB variant, it is evident that the device isn’t being made in India still and until that the prices will be like this.
We know the iPhone SE (2020) was a huge hit in India only after its price dropped to Rs.35k and even below Rs.30k during sales. This iPhone SE became an entry-level offering of Apple across the globe and it did well in sales since 2020 but with a starting price of $399 and later got even more discounts.
iPhone SE 2022 heavily criticized by Indian customers
This year, having a starting price of $429 and here in India of about ₹43,900 again makes it a controversial choice especially when you know there are other companies like Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus, Samsung and others who have better offerings. One of the key areas Apple is being criticized for is its old design and the tiny display with touch id.
In India, crossing the Rs.40k price segment you have already reached the affordable flagship lineup and one spending such a huge amount on a smartphone wants all the modern features one could ask for. However, Apple has though crammed the latest iOS and A15 Bionic but its design, display and battery life suffer very badly.
So, as we see on Amazon India, the reviews of this new iPhone SE (2022) have been really bad as people have heavily criticized the Indian pricing. The average rating this iPhone is just 2.3 out of 5 which is the lowest you see on an iPhone in past few years and Indian people feel they are absolutely not getting a good deal.
Some people who just want an Apple phone might or could digest the old design, display and everything but most people have heavily criticized the recently released iPhone SE. While Amazon India is offering FREE One-Day, INR 2000 Instant Discount on HDFC Bank Credit Card, still, Indian users aren’t happy spending this much amount on this device.
