In the first season, it told us the story of the years 866-878, and further, it continues in the same pattern in the next seasons. It is a story of The Great Heathen Army’s arrival in Britain which has redefined the relationship between Vikings and Anglo Saxons. It focuses on the resistance of the kingdom of Wessex to ongoing Viking incursions to Southern England.

Sneek peak about last season
In the fourth season, we have seen that Uhtred has started to interact more with his children more than in the previous seasons. His children have been adapted to his stubbornness and also desire to follow the path. Whereas Sitorra wanted to negotiate peace between the Danes and Saxons and therefore she has become happy by using it as a bargaining chip and also decided to make collaborate with Sigtygger and went to Eoferwic. It seems that her brother Uhtred the Yung has taken the decision to continue the path with the church and will also continue with his studies.
Uhtred has been stuck in between loyalty and love. After East Anglia have taken in the control of Wessex and Mercia, Northumbria has become the last kingdom that could be held by the Danes. Edward and Aethelflaed wanted to fulfill the desire of their father of one England.
Season 5 expectations
As Eoferwic in the territory of Dane indicates if anyhow Merica and Wessex go into the conflict definitely Stiorra will come into danger. After being denied from the faith from reclaiming his ancestral home of Bebbanburg, the united cousin of Uhtred, Whitgar becomes the lord of Bebbanburg after murdering his own father at the time of Uhtred’s attack and also killed Father Beocca.
It is assumed that Uhtred will definitely take revenge on his cousin for the murder of Becca’s father. Whitgar has now clearly said that he will not allow anyone who can claim Bebbanburg to be left alive.
We are expecting that we will also see another time skip in the fifth season same as the last season. It is expected that many of the characters will change their appearances but the big change will take place between the sons of King Edward named Aethalastan and Aelfweard for the growth of the character. It was also found that Aelswith also becomes poisoned by Aethelhelm while sieging of the Winchester and she also make the way to the recovery but it seems that Aethelhelm will find its way to reveal his political opponent and will make sure that Aethalstan will not have a strong ally in the court after the death of Edward.
It is also expected in season 5 that there will be more arrival of Danes from abroad because it is quite normal that Dane loses a huge amount of territory to Saxons. In order to reclaim its lost land, they will come back, and meanwhile, Brida will also take revenge on Uhtred and Saxons. On the Northside Scots have started to turn their attention to the Southward. If it reclaims the control of East Anglia and conquers Merica and Wessex then only Dane has to give up on the land in the North.
