Barcelona are close to completing a number of free transfers in the summer. The latest name to be linked to the Spanish giants is AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie. The player is out of a contract at the end of the season, and the Blaugrana are interested in signing him when his deal runs out.

Milan have offered the player a wage that he wants, but are unwilling to pay the agent fee alongside it. As a result, they are pushing him to leave. Paolo Maldini has also confirmed the stance of the club, that they will not be matching Kessie’s agent fee to make him stay at the club.

The Blaugrana have offered Franck Kessie a five-year deal, with a €6.5 million per season salary. The player is reportedly tempted by the bid and is willing to consider the proposal made by Barcelona.

Milan already have a replacement in the form of Sandro Tonali, who will be playing in the same role as Kessie.

Xavi and his team are pushing to complete the transfer when his deal expires. They are also in talks with Chelsea’s Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta for a free transfer in June.

The two defenders are also out of a contract at the end of the season, and will have to make a decision about their futures as well. Barcelona are assembling a very strong squad for the upcoming years, and the arrival of the aforementioned trio on a free transfer would strengthen their team a lot.
