Sony announces a Gold-plated and aluminum alloy framed Walkman model

Sony has announced its Walkman Signature Series in the Asian market. Sony NW-WM1ZM2 and Sony NW-WM1AM2 are the two models in the Series and offer Gold-plated chassis and the S-master digital amp technology.

The Sony NW-WM1ZM2 and Sony NW-WM1AM2 offer a high-resolution audio listening experience. Both the devices arrive with a 5.0″ compact display with an HD resolution.

You get Wi-Fi connectivity which allows the devices to connect to the internet and play and download music from an endless list of catalogs. Both the Walkman modules use an S-Master HX digital tech, which is Sony’s in-house technology from Walkman. There is also a digital amplifier inside the Walkmans offering rich full-bodied sound.

The NW-WM1ZM2 comes in a 99.99% pure 4N Gold-plated chassis that is made out of oxygen-free copper. On the other hand, the NW-WM1AM2 is made out of an aluminum alloy frame that offers complete rigidity and a boxy in-hand feel. It has a black color design.

Both the devices run on Android 11 OS by default and it also has the traditional Walkman home screen setup. You get up to 40 hours of 96kHz FLAC high-res audio playback.

In addition to this, both models get an audio jack and a USV Type-C port. The NW-M1AM2 has 128GB storage while the NW-WM1ZM2 comes with 256GB storage. Both units have a microSD card slot as well.
