The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey an upcoming drama series has released its trailer, starring Samuel L. Jackson in the titular role and Dominique Fishback.
Jackson has been struck with Alzheimer’s made him think of Ptolemy and in the trailer, it proclaims that “I got a lot of things to do, and I need my memory to do it”.
The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey is a drama series that is based on a novel written by Walter Mosley. It consists of six episodes and is going to make its debut on Friday i.e. on 11th March. He was left without his trusted caretaker and he was on the verge of sinking even deeper into lonely dementia. The orphan teenager Robyn (Fishback) is being assigned by Ptolemy for the care.
On Friday in the CTAM panel during the series, Jackson has told about embodying the titular character and tapping into his personal experiences with Alzheimer’s.

He shared that many of his family members were been inflicted with the disease, He said, “I’m from a family where I felt like I was surrounded by Alzheimer’s”. He also said, “I’ve watched them change, deteriorate and become different people over the years”.
He has also said that this series is hope for him which seems to help validate the experience of those who are dealing with loved one’s battle with Alzheimer’s.
The author has praised his lead cast when it comes to bringing Mosley’s words to screen. He stated that “they did an extraordinary job at making the book look and feel like it wanted it to be, wanted the series to become.”

The series named The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey is going to release on 11th March 2022 on Apple TV+. The series will make its debut with two episodes, along with new episodes dropping weekly, every Friday.
