The Red team has finally announced its rumoured low-powered Radeon RX 6000S GPUs for thin and light laptops. These RDNA 2 powered GPUs come with 8GB or 4GB GDDR6 memory and 32 infinity cache and a very high game frequency of up to 1975MHz.

AMD Radeon RX 6000S Series mobile graphics offer an ideal blend of performance and efficiency for slim form factors, enabling gaming laptop designs that can weigh less than 4.5 lbs. and can be up to 20 percent thinner than existing devices.

AMD brings low power consuming Radeon RX 6000S GPUs

The high-end AMD Radeon RX 6800S GPU at 100W is projected to offer the ultimate in thin-and-light 1080p gaming by delivering up to 100 FPS in select titles with max settings, and is projected to offer 10 percent higher performance on average across select titles at 1080p than the competition

MODEL	COMPUTE UNITS	GAME FREQUENCY	INFINITY CACHE	MAX MEMORY SIZE	MEMORY TYPE
AMD Radeon™ RX 6800S	32	1975 MHz	32 MB	8 GB	GDDR6
AMD Radeon™ RX 6700S	28	1890 MHz	32 MB	8 GB	GDDR6
AMD Radeon™ RX 6600S	28	1881 MHz	32 MB	4 GB	GDDR6

These GPUs will mostly be used in thin & light gaming notebooks which have thin chassis and less cooling, this helps to maximize performance. Still, as AMD promises gamers will expect over 100+ FPS in modern games also you have AMD’s Radeon Super Resolution that promises increased frame rates without any performance drops.
