The Red Team has a lot to do as now Intel is back in the high-performance computing race and we expect a direct answer to Intel by AMD at CES 2022 where it is all set to announce 6nm based Rembrandt APUs and Ryzen 5000 refresh CPUs. Interestingly, as per Videocardz’s latest report, the AMD Threadripper 5000 codenamed “Chagall” is all set to make its way as soon as March 8, 2022.
As Videocardz points out, that their source Disclosuzen provides one of the most accurate leak info when it comes to AMD hardware. Their source has confirmed that there are will be indeed 5 parts coming and their names are confirmed, however, exact specifications still not known.
Also, it is unclear whether only the Threadripper PRO series will be launching or the normal Threadripper 5000 ones will be launching or not. The biggest problem AMD faced that made its Threadripper lineup so unpredictable because it’s Threadripper Zen3 arrived too late.
Instead of debuting last year with the Ryzen 5000 series, AMD has delayed quite a bit and while we are thinking about Zen3+ 6nm chiplets but it will be quite disappointing if AMD launches a new generation at CES 2022 but sticking the Threadripper 5000 PRO to 7nm based Zen3 architecture, well, you won’t have to wait much longer to know this!
