Netflix rolls out 'Fast Laughs' on the mobile app, a TikTok-like feature to watch short funny clips

Recently Netflix India has announced a price cut on its existing plans by up to 60% meanwhile its arch-rival Amazon Prime Video declared it would increase the prices of its plans soon. The most affordable plan of Netflix i.e. the mobile plan will be down to Rs.149 per month, a reduction of 25.12%.

This will certainly bring more people as a majority of the people are subscribed to the mobile plan and who isn’t will definitely join it. The biggest reduction by far has to be in its basic streaming plan that was previously Rs.499 per month and now it will cost only Rs.199 per month, a reduction by a whopping 60%.

There’s more to it, if you are an enthusiast and use Netflix’s Standard or even the Premium plan, Netflix India has reduced prices for you too. From today, the Standard plan which used to cost Rs.649 per month will now cost only Rs.499 per month and that’s a reduction of 23.11%.

We were also subscribed to the Premium plan that used to cost Rs.799 per month, however, you will now have to pay only Rs.649 per month, a reduction of 18.7%. Even the OTT subscribers of Netflix have been reported to be sent emails by Netflix India that their Standard plans of Rs.649 have been upgraded to Premium Plan.

Netflix India reduces its streaming plans by up to 60%

Recently we got an email from Netflix India regarding this:

We hope you’re enjoying everything Netflix has to offer. We just wanted to check in and share a bit of good news. Your monthly price will decrease to ₹649 on your next billing date after 14 December 2021.

Nothing else about your membership will change. You’ll still have access to all your favourite TV programmes and films. We will continue to deliver even more value for your membership – with stories that lift you up, move you or simply make your day a little better.

This goes to show how Netflix is targetting the Indian market and if it wants to penetrate and stop illegal streaming the only way possible to make the prices reasonable. How did you like this move from Netflix India? Tell us in comments down below…😉
