According to Apple, a “very small percentage” of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro devices have an audio problem. The company then pledged to repair the products for affected customers. Apple’s recently released iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro and are both the current best-performing smartphones in the market.
Recently the Cupertino giant stated that the above-mentioned phones, which were manufactured between October 2020 and April 2021, have a defect with a component on the receiver module. This information was posted on Apple’s official website.
However, the company also said that they will be offering repair services free of charge, and the problem doesn’t affect the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
“If your iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro does not emit sound from the receiver when you make or receive calls, it may be eligible for service.” stated the California-based company.
Apple will soon be releasing its new line of iPhones powered by their new processor, the A15 Bionic. So the Cupertino giant wants to fix the problem ahead of the release of new iPhones.
We expect Apple to announce their new iPhones in the coming weeks, and it’s also rumored that the new iPhone will be retaining the same basic design as the iPhone 12. however, the new device will have enhanced camera capabilities and other features.
“If your iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro has any damage which impairs the ability to complete the repair, such as a cracked screen, that issue will need to be resolved before the service. In some cases, there may be a cost associated with the additional repair,” the company says.
