Google is facing legal trouble yet again after surging their purchase charges on the Google Play Store by 30% and is considered as unlawful and unethical.

As a result, Liz Coll and a coalition of 37 state attorney generals have filed a class action lawsuit against global giants for high Play Store app fees.

The above-mentioned lawsuit indicated that Google has been finishing competition being making it necessary to be pre-installed on all android devices. It also allegedly diverts users into using their own payment system which further on charges 30% of the amount charged which means Google is directly taking the consumers money from consumer’s pockets to their own.

It has brought to attention that google has violated section 18 of the UK Competition Act 1998 and Article 102 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union which calls for serious action.

If the concerned authorities rule in the consumers favor then Google will end up paying $1.3 billion who has made purchases of an app or other content from Play Store in the form of £47 for each and every user in UK who meets the above criteria.

This is not the first time Google has been served with lawsuits like this. Now the matter will be persuaded in court and the concerned Attorney Generals will be awaiting the court’s decision on the matter.
