It has brought to attention that google has violated section 18 of the UK Competition Act 1998 and Article 102 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union which calls for serious action.

If the concerned authorities rule in the consumers favor then Google will end up paying $1.3 billion who has made purchases of an app or other content from Play Store in the form of £47 for each and every user in UK who meets the above criteria.

This is not the first time Google has been served with lawsuits like this. Now the matter will be persuaded in court and the concerned Attorney Generals will be awaiting the court’s decision on the matter.
