The mother-daughter duo that captured hearts worldwide is officially returning! After Season 3’s explosive finale left fans on the edge of their seats, Ginny & Georgia Season 4 is already in development, and the updates are more promising than ever.

Production Officially Underway

Show creator Sarah Lampert posted a photo of the season 4 writers’ room on Instagram, captioning it, “First day of the season 4 writer’s room!!! Based on today alone season 4 is going to be a RIDE.” This February 2025 announcement sent fans into a frenzy, confirming that the creative team is hard at work crafting the next chapter of Georgia and Ginny’s tumultuous journey.

The early start to production is particularly exciting. Production on the next season is expected to begin later this year, according to star Brianne Howey, suggesting Netflix is working to minimize the typical two-year gap between seasons.

Season 4 Release Timeline

Season	Release Date	Gap
Season 1	February 2021	–
Season 2	January 2023	2 years
Season 3	June 2025	2+ years
Season 4	Expected 2026-2027	TBD

Previous seasons have been released every other year, with season one premiering in February 2021, season two following in January 2023, and season three recently launching in June 2025. While Netflix hasn’t announced an official release date, industry patterns suggest Season 4 could arrive in 2026 or early 2027.

What to Expect in Season 4

The stakes have never been higher for the Miller family. “We knew we wanted a big murder trial. We knew we wanted things to go viral… We need to break everyone. Everyone needed to break,” creator Sarah Lampert revealed, hinting at the emotional intensity awaiting viewers.

Season 3’s shocking finale left multiple storylines hanging, including Austin’s revelation and the aftermath of Georgia’s legal troubles. The writers’ room buzz suggests Season 4 will dive deep into these unresolved conflicts while introducing new challenges that will test every character’s limits.

Cast Returns to Wellsbury

While official casting announcements are pending, we can anticipate most of the main cast will return for the next season. Brianne Howey (Georgia) and Antonia Gentry (Ginny) are expected to reprise their Emmy-worthy performances, alongside the beloved supporting cast that brings Wellsbury to life.

The show’s success has cemented its place as one of Netflix’s most-watched dramas, making the return of the core cast virtually guaranteed. Fans can expect the same authentic chemistry and compelling performances that made the series a global phenomenon.

Netflix’s Commitment to the Series

Netflix renewing Ginny & Georgia for both seasons 3 and 4 back in May 2023 demonstrates the streaming giant’s confidence in the show’s continued success. This dual renewal allowed the creative team to plan larger story arcs and develop more complex character journeys.

The series has consistently ranked among Netflix’s top-performing original content, drawing viewers worldwide with its blend of family drama, coming-of-age themes, and Georgia’s mysterious past. This success has translated into production resources and creative freedom for Season 4.
