Intel’s new Beast Canyon with 11th gen CPUs comes with an additional graphics card slot

Intel recently released a teaser of its latest version of their miniature PC. Intel’s new NUC 11 Extreme is now available to preorder from SimplyNUC with the base model price starts from $1,299. The newly released NUC was also called “Beast Canyon”.

The NUC comes with 3 processor options which are six-core Core i5-11400H, an eight-core Core i7-11700B, and an eight-core Core i9-11900KB along with an additional graphics card slot. Further on, these CPU options will also be available to former NUC 9 Extreme users.

However, it is confirmed that the PCIe Gen 4.0 and front panel audio won’t be functional given that the user is using a new CPU in an old CPU cabinet.

The earlier model i.e., NUC 9 extreme had a capacity of 5 litres however the newer model NUC 11 Extreme cabinet has a volume of 8 litres.

The NUC 11 Extreme comes with a dynamic power supply of 650W, so that it can be capable of handling powerful GPUs such as NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 through the PCIe 4.0 x16 expansion slot installed in the NUC.

It is also equipped with an inbuilt 8 GB RAM which is expandable up to 64GB other than that it also includes a total of six USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports in the backend along with Ethernet, HDMI 2.0, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports.

The Core i5-11400H version comes with 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage and integrated Intel graphics at the price of $1,299. Meanwhile, the Core i7-11700B version comes at $1,399 and lastly, the Core i9-11900KB comes at $1,599.
