On 1st July Realme TechLife had introduced the Realme Buds 2 Neo along with some other AIoT products in India. The Realme Buds 2 Neo is a downgraded version of the Realme Buds 2, and the prior is launched in India at Rs.499. The price tag on this earphone seems to be overpriced a little bit but we will justify that in our detailed review of this product.
First, let’s have a look at the specifications of the Realme Buds 2 Neo.
Specification of Realme Buds Classic
- LARGE 11.2mm BASS Boost Driver made of multi-layer Composite Diaphragm
- Experience high fidelity music with rich, deep, powerful yet accurate BASS response
- 1.3m LONG Cable designed with highly durable sweatproof TPU material
- Built-in single remote allows easy control for calls and music
- In-line HD Microphone for crystal clear calling experience
Design
Realme Buds 2 Neo looks very similar to the Realme Buds 2, but this time the company has removed the logo from the backside of the earpiece. We can also see that the volume buttons have been changed to a multi-function single button beside the microphone. The earphone has a similar kind of textured tangle-free wire like the Buds 2 and Buds Classic. Now coming to the 3.5mm jack of the headphone, the Buds 2 Neo has been updated with a right-angled (90-degree) durable bend design that helps in a better grip experience while you are gaming.
Comfort
So while using the Realme Buds 2 Neo for almost over a week, I can clearly say that I have not faced any kind of problem regarding comfort. There are a total of three pairs of adjustable silicon tips for this headphone, among which the medium size came fitted and the rest two pairs were provided in the pack separately. Both the design of the earpiece and the silicon rubber tips combination is so perfect that it does not feel like wearing a headphone even after a long time. The angled jack really helps to hold the phone properly while playing games.
Controls
To make it very clear the earphone has a minimal design and built quality is also maintained overall. It has a single button control which is multifunctional as well. A single press will receive a call, play/pause music. A double click will play the next song, whereas, a triple click will play the previous music. A simple press and hold will also help you to end a call seamlessly.
Usage
Wired earphones are really long-lasting and the built quality of the Realme Buds 2 Neo is extremely good for this price range and if handled properly they can be used for the long term. From day-to-day usage of this earphone, it can be said that it is pretty durable and can be used roughly without any hesitation. It does not tangle at all, and even if it tangles sometimes, it is super easy to untangle.
Audio Quality
The audio quality of Relme Buds 2 Neo is really good, with an in-ear design the 11.2mm audio driver is way more loud and dynamic. The design of the earphone manages to accommodate a large driver for an earphone, whereas, other earphones can hardly feature 10mm, dynamic audio drivers. The quality of the audio is quite crisp and soothing at the same time. The earphone does not physically support a bit of minimum noise cancellation because of its design, but the sound compensates with that giving a nice audio experience.
In The Call
Now coming to one of the most important aspects of earphones as we get an in-line microphone and this helps while talking with someone in the call. The mic of this earphone is really good and keeping the price point in mind it is really great that this brand is providing details in such small things. The person on the other side of the does not face distortion or any kind of disturbance while talking in a voice call over the network. The quality is not compromised even in this price range.
