Just as the iQOO 16 prepares for India, a fresh leak suggests the brand is already working on two more devices: the iQOO 16R and a new iQOO tablet. Nothing here is official, so read it as early tipster information and not a launch announcement.
The details come from tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) on X, as reported by 91mobiles. If you follow the brand closely, you can find more in our iQOO tag page.
iQOO 16R and Tablet: Leak Summary
| Device | Model number | Tipped chipset | India status |

| iQOO tablet | DPD2653 | Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 | No India hint yet |

What the Leak Says About the iQOO 16R
The iQOO 16R carries the model number PD2618 and the China code V2618A. It is tipped to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which would be a step up from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 inside the iQOO 15R. If true, the R-series phone would move closer to a flagship in raw performance, which is a big change for a line known for value.
There is no information yet on the display, battery, cameras or software. We also do not know when the phone would launch. The R-series usually follows the main flagship by a few months, but that pattern is not a promise.
The iQOO Tablet in the Works
The tablet is listed under model number DPD2653 and is also tipped to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. There is no hint of an India launch so far. For context, the iQOO Pad Ultra, which uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, was announced in China together with the iQOO 16 a couple of weeks ago, so the brand is clearly expanding its tablet range.
Price: Brace for a Rise
Prices across the phone market have climbed because of memory costs. The iQOO 15R launched in India at Rs 44,999 and now sells for Rs 53,999. If the iQOO 16R gets a faster chip, a similar or higher launch price would not be a surprise. This is an expectation based on the trend, not a leak, so please treat it as a caution only.
Should You Wait?
If you are eyeing an iQOO phone today, the leak is a reason to think before buying. The newer phones are expected to ship with OriginOS 7, and waiting could get you a stronger chip. On the other hand, a discounted iQOO 15R may offer better value if the new model arrives at a much higher price. Official confirmation will settle this, so keep an eye on the brand’s announcements, and read the details on iQOO India.
What Is Not Confirmed
Almost everything. iQOO has not announced the 16R or the tablet. The model numbers, chipsets, launch timing, regional availability and pricing all come from a single tipster and may change before launch.

Why it matters: The R-series has become a popular pick for buyers who want near-flagship speed without paying flagship money. If the iQOO 16R really moves to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, it could become one of the stronger mid-premium phones of 2027. The tablet leak is just as interesting, because iQOO has so far focused on phones in India. A tablet with a flagship chip would suit gamers and video fans, but the company has not hinted at an India release. We will update this article if iQOO shares an official teaser, a launch date or confirmed specifications for either device.
