After the underwhelming response to Parasakthi, Sivakarthikeyan seems to have a clear plan: give fans pure entertainment. At a recent fan meet, he said he’ll now focus on mass entertainers, and he promised his next two films will deliver what audiences expect.
Sivakarthikeyan: The Big Announcement
SK said both Seyon and SK27 will meet expectations. He credited the assurance to his “brothers” Sivakumar Murugesan and Ramkumar, the directors of the two films, who asked him to pass the message on to fans. It’s a warm, human moment, and it signals that he’s listening to his audience.

Where Things Stand?
On Seyon, SK revealed that songs and several other portions are already wrapped, with a few major action sequences still pending. The film is produced by Kamal Haasan’s banner, and early buzz points to a rural, mythology-flavoured action avatar.
SK27 is newer. It recently began with a pooja ceremony and marks Ramkumar Balakrishnan’s second feature after Parking. Sivakarthikeyan said the opening action sequence is done and a song is currently being filmed.
Why This Shift Makes Sense?
Sivakarthikeyan built his stardom on family-friendly fun, and a return to crowd-pleasing entertainers feels like going back to what works. With two action-led projects lined up and a Pongal 2027 window for Seyon, fans have a lot to look forward to.
Of course, promises are easy and box office is the real test. We’ll know soon enough whether this approach lands.
