VisionQuest Trailer Breakdown: Scarlet Witch Haunts Vision’s Memories as Disney+ Premiere Nears

Wanda is gone, but she’s not forgotten. The first VisionQuest trailer, shown at D23, is packed with echoes of the Scarlet Witch, and the series arrives in just over a week. Here’s your quick VisionQuest trailer guide. For more MCU news, follow TechnoSports.

VisionQuest: Overview

Wanda’s Presence, Without Wanda?

The Direct notes that Elizabeth Olsen isn’t on the official call sheet, yet Wanda looms large. The trailer replays past MCU footage as Vision sits alone in a theatre inside his own mind, watching his old life. Moments include Wanda blasting Vision in Captain America: Civil War and the Westview Halloween episode from WandaVision. A bartender even mentions a redhead, and a carved “W + V” on a table says the rest.

A Vision Who Isn’t Quite Vision

This new Vision carries his past self’s memories without having lived them. The trailer suggests he has the face and mind but not the soul, and he’s struggling with who he is now.

Ultron Moves In

Ultron appears in human form inside Vision’s mindscape, played by James Spader. Other AI characters also take human shape, including J.A.R.V.I.S. (James D’Arcy), F.R.I.D.A.Y. (Orla Brady), E.D.I.T.H. (Emily Hampshire) and Jocasta (T’Nia Miller). Ultron lures Vision with a plea to save his son.

Tommy Is the Real Thread

Ruaridh Mollica’s Tommy, now in the body of Thomas Shepard after Agatha All Along, is hunting for his father. Lauren Morais also joins as Lisa Molinari, the comic-book villain Coat of Arms. Fans are still wondering whether this builds toward a Young Avengers project.
