Director Samar Iqbal said Season 1 observed the Katarias from a distance, while Season 2 was built to “breathe with them,” spending more time inside the characters’ relationships and the things they struggle to say, while keeping the show’s madness and humour intact. Rajesh Tailang, who plays patriarch Sanjay Kataria, said returning for Season 2 felt wonderful given how strongly audiences connected with the family’s everyday chaos the first time around.
Sheeba Chaddha, who plays Sushma Kataria and was recently seen in Mirzapur: The Movie, added that with two Kataria families now under one roof, there’s naturally more confusion and more arguments, but also the same warmth that makes viewers root for the family despite the madness.
