Four days in, and Haiwaan is already in trouble. The Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan actioner, directed by Priyadarshan, opened to a muted response — and instead of finding its footing, it has fallen off a cliff. Monday’s collection stood at just Rs 50 lakh, extending an unbroken slide since Day 1.

For a film carrying two big names, this kind of drop usually points to one thing: audiences didn’t like what they saw, and word spread fast.

Haiwaan Box Office Collections So Far

Day	Collection
Day 1	Rs 2.50 crore
Day 2	Rs 2.25 crore
Day 3	Rs 2 crore
Day 4	Rs 0.50 crore
Total	Rs 7.25 crore

That’s a 75% fall between Day 3 and Day 4 alone — the kind of number that usually means theatres start pulling shows within the week.

The Story Behind the Slide

Haiwaan follows Shyam Rane, a visually impaired maintenance head with sharpened senses, dragged into danger after a friend’s buried secret resurfaces. Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Saiyami Kher, and Rajpal Yadav round out the cast — a solid lineup that hasn’t been enough to offset criticism of a slow, predictable screenplay.

Trade voices tracking the film’s run suggest the drop isn’t a one-off dull weekday; it’s a trend with no floor in sight yet.
