Between September and December 2026, dozens of Netflix movies and series are actively filming — some wrapping up, others just getting started. From long-awaited sequels to buzzy new originals, here’s a complete, easy-to-scan breakdown of what’s shooting, where, and why it matters.

Netflix Big Movies Wrapping This Fall

Grown Ups 3 reunites Adam Sandler and the Happy Madison crew across New Jersey, Boston, France, and Italy, continuing the franchise’s laid-back comedic formula through mid-October.

Extraction 3 sends Chris Hemsworth back into high-octane action mode, filming across Sydney and Thailand — a fitting geographic spread for a franchise built on globe-trotting rescue missions.

Spy Duo pairs Kevin Hart with Henry Cavill in an unlikely action-comedy about rival spies who become reluctant allies after meeting in a Lamaze class. It’s filming in New Jersey and France through late November.

The Inbetweeners 3 brings the original British cast — Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison, and Joe Thomas — back together for a nostalgic continuation of the hit coming-of-age comedy, shooting across the UK.

Women Like Us, backed by Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground Productions, stars Whoopi Goldberg, Jenifer Lewis, Vanessa Williams, and Vivica A. Fox in a Hamptons-set story about grief, friendship, and reckoning with the past.

Eleven, directed by Pablo Larraín, is a historical drama chronicling the events surrounding Chile’s 1973 military coup, filming entirely on location in Chile with a strong international cast.

A Matter of Time, a fantasy rom-com starring Ben Stiller and Nicholas Galitzine, is filming in London, blending genre elements with romantic comedy in a way that’s a bit of a departure for Netflix’s usual rom-com slate.

Returning Series Fans Are Watching Closely

Bridgerton Season 5 is filming in London and expected to wrap by mid-October, continuing Netflix’s flagship period-drama franchise.

Wednesday Season 3 continues production in County Wicklow, Ireland, following the massive success of its earlier seasons.

Assassin’s Creed Season 1, the long-awaited live-action video game adaptation, is filming across multiple European locations.

Emily in Paris Season 6 is wrapping its shoot across Paris, Greece, and Monaco, keeping its glamorous, multi-country travel format intact.

The Night Agent Season 4 is filming its final season in California, bringing the political thriller to a close.

Dept. Q Season 2 continues shooting in Edinburgh, extending the Scottish crime drama’s atmospheric run.

Why Netflix’s Nonstop Production Schedule Matters

Unlike traditional broadcast networks that follow a rigid pilot-season model, Netflix runs dozens of productions simultaneously across the globe year-round. This approach mirrors how the streaming era has reshaped television production more broadly — shifting from centralized, seasonal scheduling to a constant, decentralized content pipeline. The result is a steadier release calendar for subscribers, but it also means keeping track of what’s coming next requires exactly this kind of regular production roundup.
