Ravi Teja’s action drama collected Rs 5.25 crore on its second Wednesday — a modest 20% dip from the day before — pushing its India total to a solid Rs 170 crore gross. With festival holidays approaching and zero major competition on the horizon, the film looks set to comfortably cross Rs 175 crore by the end of its second week.

Unlike most films that see steep weekday drops right out of the gate, “Irumudi” actually gained momentum in its first week due to capacity constraints — meaning the natural 20-25% weekday dip only kicked in during week two. That’s a good sign for its overall staying power.

The film has performed best in Ravi Teja‘s home turf, topping Rs 150 crore in the Telugu states alone, with Nizam leading all territories. Several screens that briefly switched over to “Toxic” on release day were back showing “Irumudi” by Monday, and business picked right back up.

With Janmashtami and Ganesh Chaturthi holidays ahead — and no big new release to compete with — trade estimates now peg “Irumudi” to comfortably cross the Rs 200 crore mark in the Telugu states before its run wraps.
