A Sudden Burst of Colour

The Haiwaan new track arrives at a striking moment in the film’s promotional journey. Set against open waters, the song follows Saif Ali Khan’s character as he journeys home by boat, turning a simple passage into a visually rich, character-defining introduction. Instead of leaning on menace like the trailer, Rangiyara trades atmospheric dread for flowing landscapes and a restless, upbeat pulse.

Saif holds the screen with easy confidence throughout, letting audiences sit with his character a little longer before the thriller’s tension inevitably closes back in.

The Sound Behind the Song

Haiwaan New Track “Rangiyara” Sees Saif Ali Khan Jam Amid Open Waters, Composed by Pritam with lyrics from Yatindra Mishra and Thomson Andrews, Rangiyara gets its infectious lift from a powerhouse vocal trio: Shaan, Sukhwinder Singh, and Romy. That combination makes the Haiwaan new track feel less like a routine musical insert and more like a deliberate, carefully placed entry point into one of the film’s key characters.

Why This Track Matters for Haiwaan’s Campaign

Haiwaan has, until now, leaned entirely into eerie, shadow-heavy visuals centered on a dangerous cat-and-mouse game between a psychopath and a visually impaired man. Rangiyara marks a clear tonal pivot in the marketing push—shifting from suspense-driven intrigue to a broader audience play powered by music, scale, and star presence.

With the September 11 release date closing in, every promotional beat now carries extra weight, and this track is clearly designed to widen the film’s appeal beyond just thriller enthusiasts.

The Reunion Everyone’s Watching

Directed by Priyadarshan, Haiwaan marks Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan’s reunion on screen after 18 years, following their previous collaborations in Aitraaz and Tashan. The film also stars Boman Irani, Saiyami Kher, Shriya Pilgaonkar, and Sharib Hashmi in pivotal roles, produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn under KVN Productions and Thespian Films.

Rangiyara follows the film’s first song, “Mere Hero Hai Woh,” an emotional father-daughter themed track featuring Saif Ali Khan and young actor Pahal Chaudhary—proof that Haiwaan’s soundtrack is intentionally built to reveal different emotional layers ahead of release.

Final Thoughts

The Haiwaan new track succeeds precisely because it defies expectations. Rather than reinforcing the film’s dark premise, Rangiyara broadens Haiwaan’s visual language and sharpens curiosity about what’s still to come. With the theatrical release just under two weeks away, this vibrant detour proves Priyadarshan’s thriller has more range than its trailer initially suggested.

Watch Haiwaan in cinemas worldwide starting September 11, 2026.
