KATSEYE Drops Out of Daisy Chain Fields After Megan Sprains Ankle

KATSEYE has officially dropped out of the Daisy Chain Fields lineup on August 28, 2026, after member Megan suffered an ankle sprain that forced the group to cancel their appearance.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news, confirming that the injury — reportedly not scheduling or contract issues — was the sole reason behind the late-stage withdrawal.

For fans who had been tracking the festival’s daily lineup reveals, the announcement landed like a gut punch on what should have been a routine Friday drop.

The Daisy Chain Fields festival had been building toward one of its strongest weekends yet, and KATSEYE was reportedly slotted into a prime late-afternoon slot on the main stage.

Megan’s sprain, described by the group as a sudden on-set incident, has now sidelined the entire act rather than just the injured member. Festival organizers reportedly confirmed the slot will not be backfilled before the weekend opens.

The Before: What KATSEYE’s Slot Looked Like

Heading into Friday morning, KATSEYE reportedly sat comfortably in the second slot on the Daisy Chain Fields main stage, positioned between a rising solo artist and the closing headliner.

The group’s management had reportedly posted a rehearsal clip just 48 hours earlier showing all six members running through choreography, signalling full fitness and a locked-in performance.

Ticket resale platforms were reportedly tracking a 12% bump in secondary market activity around the group’s set window, per publicly available aggregator data.

The festival itself had been marketed around its 2026 “field expansion,” reportedly adding a third stage and extending programming by four hours compared to the previous edition.

KATSEYE’s booking was reportedly part of a broader push to book international pop acts alongside regional favourites, and the group was reportedly the only girl group on the main stage bill.

The Catalyst: Megan’s Ankle Sprain

The injury reportedly occurred during a pre-festival warmup session on Thursday evening, and the decision to withdraw the entire group — rather than perform as a five-piece — was reportedly made overnight.

In a statement shared across their official channels, KATSEYE said the priority is Megan’s recovery and that performing without her would compromise the staging the team had built around all six members. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the ankle sprain diagnosis but did not specify a recovery timeline.

Worth noting: the group’s label has not commented on whether any of the scheduled songs will be performed elsewhere on the tour, or if the Daisy Chain Fields slot will be rescheduled for a future festival edition.

The After: Festival Adjustments and Fan Fallout

With KATSEYE off the bill, Daisy Chain Fields organizers reportedly promoted the next act on the undercard into the vacated slot, leaving a noticeable gap in the girl-group representation the festival had been promoting.

The stage change was reportedly announced within three hours of the withdrawal news, a faster turnaround than typical festival reshuffles, which usually take 24 to 48 hours.

Fans holding single-day passes for the affected day are reportedly being offered the option to transfer their ticket to the following day at no extra cost, or to request a partial refund through the festival’s official portal.

What’s Next for KATSEYE and the Festival

Megan is expected to undergo further evaluation in the coming days, with the group promising updates once medical staff clear her for light activity.

The remaining KATSEYE tour dates outside the festival circuit reportedly remain on the calendar as of Friday morning, though the label has not confirmed whether choreography will be modified.

For festival-goers, the practical move is to log into the Daisy Chain Fields portal before Sunday to lock in a transfer day or initiate a refund — both windows reportedly close 72 hours after the original set time.

For readers deciding whether to hold a ticket or take the refund: if you bought a single-day pass specifically for KATSEYE, the refund path is the cleaner outcome. If you were attending for the full bill, the day-transfer keeps your weekend intact.
