At today’s WWDC, Apple has finally announced the long-awaited iOS 15. It an updated version of Apple’s smartphone operating system. Apple has made a lot of changes in the updated iOS, starting from the updated version of Maps to audio experience via the iOS 15.
Above anything else, iOS 15 adds the feature of offline Siri, for faster query recognitions. Siri will now be able to respond to users’ requests even without internet access. Other than this, Siri coming to third-party devices later this year.
The very first thing we noticed is the updated UI and experience of the FaceTime app. Some of the updated features are listed belo.

FaceTime gets an update with Spatial Audio along with a wide range of its spectrum. Apple has also added the noise isolation feature for FaceTime in iOS 15. The noise isolation helps to reduce the background noise while FaceTiming. A new UI introduces the grid view and portrait view that blurs the background while in portrait mode. Now with iOS 15 users can also share music and videos during the call.
Apart from this, people can share the links of their FaceTime calls and can be attended from any other device with a browser. Yes, now your android and windows devices can also share FaceTime. FaceTime is now accessible on cross-platforms.
Notifications on iOS 15 has also been updated.

The Focus will allow you to customize which notifications appear during different activities and it is useful specifically while you’re working. Now you can also batch some notifications that can be view later.
Messages in iOS 15 also get some proper updates where, when enabled Do Not Disturb mode by way of an automatic status update in Messages. Overwriting of Do Not Disturb is also possible in case of emergency. Again, just like WhatsApp, when we share a lot of images at once, Photos shared in messages are automatically grouped into collages or stacks and will appear in other places like your photo gallery and memories.
Other updates include the ability to search text in photos courtesy of a new feature called LiveText, including the ability to search photos in Spotlight. In addition to that, we will get AirPods audio updates, and better support for locating them using Find My in the latest iOS 15.
Apart from this, updates in Apple Wallet will include hotel room keys and relevant identification information for TSA. Updates will also be available in the Memories app, Weather app, and Safari for iOS will also get support for a browser extension.
Apple says iOS 15 will arrive this fall, with a developer beta arriving today and a public beta next month.
