Apple's boosts AirTags privacy, Android Detector App coming soon

It’s been a month since the new Apple AirTags hit the market. The WWDC commences today and Apple found it to be the perfect timeline to hit the headlines. The company announcing privacy-related upgrades and Android Detector App availability for the AirTags.

Apple mentioned that they will adjust their approach towards the AirTags sensors, by changing the time for which an alert is played when separated from their owner. Apple will be creating newer ways to warn people about an unexpected AirTag or a nearby Find My Network-enabled device.

Earlier, if an AirTag was being used to track another person, the Apple device was programmed to notify in 3 days’ time. The new update sees a lowered time frame of 8 and 24 hours. Apple has already started sending out some of these updates to present AirTags users.

Apple AirTag is now available in India at ₹3190 ($29)

Adding to this, Apple also announced that they have been working on an Android Detector App. This app will detect any AirTag or Find My Network-enabled device that may unknowingly be traveling with them.

Apple stated, “The recent introduction of AirTag included industry-first proactive features that discourage unwanted tracking.” Apple also said that the updates represent their commitment to improving AirTag’s privacy and security.

These AirTags are an innovative solution by Apple to detect/find items that you could lose. AirTags use Apple’s Find My network technology and help the user find lost items. With the Worldwide Developers Conference knocking at the door, this surely was a great timing to up forward these announcements.
