Spider-Man: Brand New Day Shatters Rs. 100 Cr Advance — Only Endgame Has Done This Before

Hold onto your web-shooters — Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day just pulled off something only one Hollywood film has ever managed in India before it.

The film crossed Rs. 100 crore in advance bookings at the Indian box office around 9 PM on its final presale day, with a few more hours of advance still to go. By morning, the final presale figure is expected to land around Rs. 110 crore for the weekend — marking only the second time a Hollywood film has crossed the Rs. 100 crore advance mark in India, the first being Avengers: Endgame.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day — Advance Booking Snapshot

Here’s the fascinating part — the exact numbers for Avengers: Endgame’s advance were never officially confirmed, but based on available data, they’re estimated around Rs. 110-120 crore. That means Brand New Day may not just be chasing the record — it could be setting a new one, depending on how the final hours of booking play out.

There’s a nuance in the day-one math too. Endgame’s presales were reportedly close to capacity, leaving little room to add sales on release day itself. Brand New Day has a much higher capacity and could add well over Rs. 20-30 crore on top of its advance — putting it in strong position to break the opening-day record outright, even though its raw Day 1 advance figure trails Endgame’s roughly Rs. 50 crore.

This kind of box-office frenzy for a superhero franchise mirrors the broader cultural phenomenon around Spider-Man as one of cinema’s most enduring characters across multiple film eras.
