Sergio Ramos is set to become a free agent in thirty days, and the player has not yet achieved an agreement with Real Madrid regarding a new contract. The skipper has been adamant on his demands for a two-year contract, while Florentino Perez is only willing to offer him one.

However, the centre-back hasn’t agreed on a deal for a single year either, and will end his stay at the Spanish capital should no agreement be reached. In that situation, Manchester City are willing to offer the Spaniard a contract.

Pep Guardiola is highly appreciative of Ramos’ abilities and his leadership qualities and would want him to join him at the Etihad. That is despite the presence of Ruben Dias, John Stones and Nathan Ake at the club already. Aymeric Laporte is being linked with an exit from the club this summer, following the resurgence of John Stones.

Eric Garcia left the club along with Sergio Aguero to join Barcelona, and the Sky Blues are now short of a man at centre-back. A spell at New York City, which is part of the City group could also be a deciding factor in Ramos’ future.

PSG are the only other club that have made contact with Sergio Ramos regarding his contract talks with Real Madrid. An agreement seems to be a long way off, and we could be seeing the unbelievable sight of Ramos in a shirt not that of Real Madrid from this summer.
