“Love in Sync” follows Yoo Ji An, a celebrity who rejects empathy, and Cha Eun Hwan, a psychologist overwhelmed by it, after a supernatural phenomenon links their emotions together. What starts as an unusual connection slowly becomes something deeper, forcing both characters to confront feelings they’d rather avoid.
A Sweet Date Before the Storm
Earlier episodes saw Cha Eun Hwan turning down Yoo Ji An’s offer of a long-term contract, deliberately pulling away out of fear that getting closer to her would eventually expose a painful truth from their shared past. Despite his effort to keep his real feelings hidden, the newest stills show the pair enjoying a genuine, ordinary date — culminating in a kiss that reaffirms just how much they care for each other.
That happiness doesn’t last. Yoo Ji An is soon caught up in a fresh controversy, immediately putting strain on the relationship. While Cha Eun Hwan watches her with obvious concern, Yoo Ji An responds with a noticeably cold expression, hinting at a turning point in their dynamic.

Cha Eun Hwan Turns Away
In one of the more emotionally charged images, Cha Eun Hwan is shown turning his back on Yoo Ji An for the first time. Consumed by guilt over a past accident, he decides he can no longer stay close to her and pushes her away, even as she desperately tries to hold on. Because of their emotional bond, Yoo Ji An can actually sense his true feelings beneath the rejection, making the moment all the more devastating as she fights back tears.
According to the production team, Cha Eun Hwan’s actions stem from fear that Yoo Ji An will be crushed by the same guilt he’s carried for years, driving him to say things he doesn’t mean in order to protect her.
Episode 7 of “Love in Sync,” a modern take on the romantic comedy genre, airs July 25 at 10:50 p.m. KST.
