Mark Your Calendars: Yash’s Toxic Trailer Set For August 8

The wait for Yash’s next big screen outing just got a little shorter. Reports suggest Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups will drop its full trailer on August 8, 2026, ahead of its theatrical release later that month — and the buzz around this one has been building for a while.

Given how much star power is packed into this film, an August 8 reveal would give fans just under three weeks to hype it up before it finally hits screens.

Toxic : Overview

What We Know So Far

According to a Gulte report, the makers are also planning a trailer launch event in Bengaluru, though nothing has been officially confirmed by the production team yet. What’s already locked in is the theatrical release date of August 26, 2026 — a date the film settled on after being postponed twice, first from March 19 to June 4, and then pushed again to secure a stronger worldwide release window.

Toxic is an action thriller centered on a father-son rivalry, co-written and directed by Geetu Mohandas. Beyond Yash, the film features a stacked ensemble including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Rukmini Vasanth, Tara Sutaria, and Huma Qureshi, alongside Akshay Oberoi, Sudev Nair, and Amit Tiwari.

The Talent Behind The Camera

The technical crew is just as impressive as the cast. Ravi Basrur has composed the music and background score, while cinematographer Rajeev Ravi handles the visuals. International action choreographer JJ Perry leads several major action sequences, with the Anbariv duo choreographing select portions — a combination that suggests the film is leaning heavily into large-scale action set pieces.

An early teaser already gave fans a taste of what’s coming, introducing all five female leads before ending with Yash facing off against a group of formidable women. A separate glimpse of the romantic track “Tabaahi,” featuring Yash and Kiara Advani, has also been released.

Kannada cinema has grown into one of India’s most commercially significant film industries in recent years, with big-budget pan-Indian productions like this becoming increasingly common, a shift reflected in the industry’s broader growth documented on Wikipedia.

What’s Next For Yash

Beyond Toxic, Yash has an even bigger date on the calendar this year — he’s set to appear as Ravana in the Diwali 2026 release Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, alongside Sai Pallavi, Ravi Dubey, and Sunny Deol. Between the two films, Yash is shaping up to have one of the most high-profile back-to-back release stretches of any South Indian star this year.
