One of K-pop’s most star-studded broadcasts is nearly here. The 2026 SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer has locked its date, venue, hosts, and a roster of 27 acts — with a few surprises still expected before showtime. Here’s everything confirmed so far.

2026 SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer- Event Snapshot

Where and When

The festival takes place at KINTEX (Korea International Exhibition Center) in Goyang’s Ilsan district, roughly 50–60 minutes from central Seoul by subway or direct bus. Since August 9 falls on a Sunday, fans planning weekend travel should expect heavier transit and accommodation demand around the venue.

This marks the third consecutive year SBS has staged a summer edition of Gayo Daejeon, following the franchise’s 2024 expansion into a biannual format. What began as a year-end-only broadcast tradition dating back to 1996 has grown into a genuine mid-year flagship event for the network.

Meet the Hosts

SBS confirmed the MC lineup on July 13: Sungchan of RIIZE, Sion of NCT WISH, and Ian of Hearts2Hearts. Sungchan takes the lead role, drawing on his prior hosting experience with SBS’s Inkigayo. For both Sion and Ian, this marks their first time hosting a large-scale music festival, though both have prior Inkigayo hosting credits. The production team said they selected the trio specifically because they “fit the summer festival atmosphere.”

Who’s Performing?

The lineup rolled out in waves throughout June and July, eventually reaching 27 confirmed acts. Highlights include:

• Stray Kids
• ATEEZ
• BABYMONSTER
• RIIZE
• NCT WISH
• NCT’s Taeyong and Ten
• ZEROBASEONE
• DAY6’s Wonpil
• BOL4 (Bolbbalgan4)
• KISS OF LIFE
• Hearts2Hearts
• BIBI and Choi Yena

Additional acts including izna, MEOVV, ALLDAY PROJECT, and Pi Cheolin (SEVENTEEN’s Dino) round out the roster, with SBS teasing that “special headliners” are still to be revealed closer to the event.

Fans interested in the broader history of the SBS Gayo Daejeon franchise can find decades of past performances and format changes documented, tracing its evolution from a single year-end show into today’s dual summer-winter format.
