A quiet border village. A tiger sighting that turns into something far worse. Director Na Hong Jin is back, and his new teaser is already sending chills down spines.

What’s HOPE About?

Directed by Na Hong Jin, known for his tense, atmospheric storytelling, HOPE centers on Bum Seok, chief of a police substation in the fictional Hopo Port near the Demilitarized Zone. When local youths report a tiger sighting, the village spirals into emergency mode — only to confront a threat no one saw coming.

The Teaser’s Big Draw

The newly dropped trailer throws viewers straight into Hopo Port as an unidentified entity attacks the village. Expect daylight chase sequences, high-intensity action, and unusual car pursuits — all balanced with flashes of dark humor. What stands out most is the visual approach: minimal CGI and practical sets, giving the film a raw, grounded intensity rarely seen in modern thrillers.

Why the Cast Matters

Hwang Jung Min anchors the story as a small-town cop suddenly out of his depth, while Jung Ho Yeon brings law-enforcement grit to Sung Ae. Zo In Sung rounds out the trio as a villager caught in the chaos — a role that hints at real emotional stakes beneath the survival thrills.
