After eight incredible years, All American is finally coming to an end — and it’s also closing out one of the most significant chapters in Netflix and The CW’s shared history.

Why Season 8 Marks The End Of An Era

The CW confirmed back in June 2025 that this football drama, created by April Blair, would wrap up with an eighth and final season. Network president Brad Schwartz called it one of The CW’s greatest shows, expressing pride in giving fans a proper farewell. Showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll echoed that sentiment, describing the ending not as a goodbye but as a heartfelt “see you soon” to the cast and crew who became family over the years.

What Happens In The Final Season?

Season 8 picks up six months after the dramatic football cliffhanger from Season 7, but with a twist — the entire final season unfolds across just a single, pivotal week in the lives of the Beverly and Crenshaw crew. Returning cast members include Michael Evans Behling, Greta Onieogou, Bre-Z, Osy Ikhile, and Alexis Chikaeze, among others.

When Does It Premiere?

The CW kicks things off with a two-hour special premiere on July 13, 2026, followed by a full 13-episode run.
