Lenovo {Smartchoice} Idea Tab Pro with Pen Plus Wants to Replace Your Laptop, Not Just Your Notebook

Most tablets are great for Netflix and mediocre for actual work. The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro with Pen Plus (12.7″, 12GB/256GB) pushes back on that — a sharp 3K display, a genuinely capable processor, and an included stylus make it feel like a real productivity device, not just a bigger phone.

With 144Hz refresh rate and quad JBL speakers thrown in, it’s built to handle work during the day and entertainment once you clock out.

Here’s the full spec breakdown:

Why This One Actually Feels Like a Laptop Replacement

Most tablets in this size bracket compromise somewhere — usually the processor or the display. The MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chip here handles multitasking, document editing, and video calls without the stutter you’d expect from a budget-leaning tablet, while the 3K panel at 144Hz makes scrolling and note-taking feel noticeably smoother than standard 60Hz screens.

The included Pen Plus is the detail that pushes it toward “laptop replacement” territory — handwritten notes, sketches, and annotations feel natural rather than like an afterthought accessory bolted on for marketing.
