Deool Band 2 Box Office Week 4: Pravin Tarde’s Devotional Drama Eyes Rs 90 Crore Finish — Marathi Cinema’s Quiet Blockbuster

It may not be making national headlines every day, but the numbers tell a very compelling story.

Deool Band 2, the devotional drama directed by and starring Pravin Tarde, has just wrapped its fourth week at the Indian box office with a rock-solid hold — and is now firmly on track to close its theatrical run at approximately Rs 90 crore gross. For a Marathi film with a limited theatrical footprint, that’s a genuinely remarkable achievement.

Deool Band 2 Week 4 Box Office — Numbers

Complete Week-by-Week Breakdown

Why This Performance Is Impressive

Deool Band 2 continued to hold well at the box office. The movie ended its fourth week at Rs 6.25 crore, registering a 50 per cent drop from the third week — a good hold for a film of this budget and scale.

A 50% week-on-week drop in Week 4 is actually considered healthy retention by industry standards, especially for a regional language film operating primarily in Maharashtra. The devotional genre naturally builds on word-of-mouth and repeat viewership from its core audience, and Deool Band 2 has done exactly that — sustaining strong numbers well into its run.

Where It Stands in Marathi Cinema History

The Mohan Joshi, Snehal Tarde, Pravin Tarde, Mahesh Manjrekar, and others-starrer has already emerged as the second biggest grosser from Marathi cinema this year, only behind Raja Shivaji — and that too while being limited to its home turf only.

The Pravin Tarde directorial is expected to surpass the lifetime cume of Raja Shivaji (Marathi) in its fifth week and then head towards its theatrical end, closing around the Rs 90 crore mark — on similar lines to Sairat and Baipan Bhari Deva at the box office. That’s elite company in the history of Marathi cinema.

What’s Next?

Week 5 collections will be the final major push for the film, with an OTT premiere likely to follow shortly after. The film is expected to comfortably cross Raja Shivaji’s Marathi lifetime figure before wrapping its theatrical journey.
