Baki-Dou Part 2 Is Coming to Netflix on June 18 — And Musashi’s Reign of Terror Is Far From Over

If you’ve been white-knuckling it through the wait since Part 1 dropped in February, the good news is finally here. Baki-Dou: The Invincible Samurai Part 2 has an official Netflix release date — and it’s bringing 12 brand new episodes of the most gloriously unhinged martial arts anime on the platform.

Baki-Dou Part 2 : Key Details

What Happened in Part 1?

Baki-Dou is a Japanese Netflix Original anime series — the sequel to Baki Hanma and the fourth manga series of the franchise written and illustrated by Keisuke Itagaki, with TMS Entertainment handling animation. Part 1 dropped all 13 episodes on February 26, 2026, and the series debuted to a strong 3.4 million views in its first week, already surpassing 7.7 million total views. What’s on Netflix

The story picks up after Baki defeats his legendary father Yujiro Hanma, leaving him and fellow elite fighters restless and bored — until a group of scientists resurrects a clone of Japan’s greatest swordsman from the Edo period: Miyamoto Musashi. Fighters like Doppo Orochi, Jack Hanma, and Kaoru Hanayama return to prove their worth against a warrior who transcends time itself. Netflix Tudum

What to Expect in Part 2?

Part 2 arrives on June 18, 2026, with all 12 episodes (Episodes 14–25) dropping simultaneously on Netflix. Netflix Tudum

Part 1 blitzed through the first 99 chapters (11 manga volumes) of Baki-Dou, with 11 volumes of source material still remaining. Part 2 is expected to push deeper into Musashi’s philosophical and physical clashes with the underground world’s elite — and if the manga is any guide, the escalation is absolutely relentless. Jack Hammer sets his sights on challenging Musashi, while Izo Motobe is determined to stop him. Pickle, the prehistoric human familiar from Baki Hanma Season 2, also makes his return. Technosports

The trailer for Part 2 shows Baki finally stepping up to challenge Musashi himself — the showdown fans have been waiting for since February.

A Franchise Built for the Hardcore

Baki-Dou sits within one of anime’s most beloved long-running martial arts universes, a franchise that has been running since 1991 with over 100 million manga copies in circulation. Netflix has been home to the Baki universe since 2018, building a dedicated global fanbase with each instalment.
