What the Episode 5 BTS Reveals

The making-of video is warm, funny, and quietly revealing about both the drama and the people behind it.

When asked what scene they were filming, Byeon Woo Seok playfully tossed the question to IU, saying that Ji Eun (IU’s real name) is really good at explaining things like this — and probably the best among the people he knows. It’s a small moment but it says a lot: these two have clearly developed a genuine rapport that carries into their performances.

On the emotional core of their key scene, Byeon Woo Seok shared that the car chase scene is the moment where Ian truly feels he loves Hui Ju — and that he worked hard to film with those exact feelings in mind. soompi That level of intentionality from a lead actor — going into a technically demanding chase scene anchored to a specific emotional truth — is what separates good performances from great ones.

Throughout filming, the actors went through multiple takes, sometimes holding back laughter, other times experimenting to find what sounded most natural for their characters — all in pursuit of the best possible performance.

A Special Real-Life Couple Cameo

The making-of video also features musical actors Son Jun Ho and Kim So Hyun — a real-life couple — making a special appearance in the drama as Ian’s parents. Casting an actual couple as the parents of the male lead is a delightful creative choice that adds a layer of authentic warmth to the royal family dynamic.
