This morning it seems there was confusion regarding which chipset is being offered in the Realme 8 5G, as the Google Play listing of the device shows MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset instead of Dimensity 700. Moreover, Realme Thailand has officially confirmed the smartphone with Dimensity 700, and even now Realme India CEO Madhav has tweeted the Dimensity 700 chipset claiming, the upcoming device to be the first to feature this chipset in India.
The company has just announced that Realme 8 5G will launch on April 16. The smartphone will be sold via Flipkart like most of the other Realme smartphones. Flipkart has created the landing page for this smartphone launch and has also mentioned the 7nm Dimensity 700 chipset that will power the device. The 7nm processor is said to be 28% more efficient than the 8nm processor.
Moreover, Realme 8 5G has been spotted on Geekbench database with MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, which is a 5G chipset. The chipset will be paired with 8GB RAM. The chipset has also been confirmed by Realme Thailand’s official website. Madhav, however, did not produce any time frame regarding the Realme 8 5G launch date. He once shared that the 5G version of Realm 8 will add more cost to the base version. We can see that in the launch itself.
