The Announcement That Sent Fans Into a Frenzy

On March 30 at midnight KST, BABYMONSTER officially announced the date and details for their upcoming return — dropping a first teaser for their third mini album “CHOOM,” set for release on May 4 at 6 p.m. KST.

A midnight drop. A cryptic teaser. A title that means “dance” in Korean. If BABYMONSTER was trying to create maximum impact with minimum information — they absolutely nailed it.

The word choom (춤) translating to “dance” in Korean feels deeply intentional for a group built on powerhouse performance energy. Whatever sonic direction “CHOOM” takes, one thing is certain: the choreography is going to be talked about for months.

Why This Comeback Has Everyone Excited

BABYMONSTER has been one of K-pop‘s most electrifying acts since their debut — a multi-national girl group under YG Entertainment that blends rap, vocals, and dance in a way that commands attention from the very first beat. Each release has pushed their artistry further, and “CHOOM” as a title promises to put their greatest strength — performance — front and centre.

Their growing global fanbase, known as BEBE, has been waiting eagerly for new music, and the May 4 release date gives the fandom just enough time to spiral beautifully into full anticipation mode.
