Why “Back Door” Hitting 400M Still Feels Like a Big Deal

“Back Door” wasn’t just a song — it was a statement. Released in September 2020 as part of their IN生 (IN LIFE) repackage album, the track showcased a lighter, more playful side of Stray Kids that fans hadn’t fully seen before. The fun concept, catchy hook, and iconic choreography made it one of the most rewatchable music videos in K-Pop history — and five-plus years later, fans are clearly still pressing play.

What makes this milestone even more meaningful is the company it keeps. The only two other Stray Kids MVs to have crossed 400 million views are “God’s Menu” — the track that truly announced SKZ as a global force — and “Thunderous” (Sorikun), the thundering, genre-bending hit that showed the world exactly how hard Stray Kids could go. For “Back Door” to stand alongside those two is a testament to its enduring charm.

Stray Kids’ 400M Club — All Three MVs at a Glance

1. God’s Menu — The first to hit 400M. The grandiose banger from their GO生 album that put Stray Kids firmly on the global radar and became a defining track of their discography.

2. Thunderous (Sorikun) — The second. A dramatic, traditionally-influenced K-Pop powerhouse that became one of 2021’s biggest K-Pop moments worldwide.

3. Back Door — Now the third. The fan-favourite earworm that keeps proving its replay value more than five years after its initial release.

With Stray Kids consistently dropping chart-topping music and performing on sold-out world tours, it’s only a matter of time before more MVs join this exclusive club. STAY, keep streaming!
