A Wedding Rooted in Tradition

The Telugu ceremony kicked off at 8 AM, with Rashmika’s family welcoming Vijay and his loved ones with coconuts, betel leaves, fruits, and the auspicious turmeric and kumkum — a beautiful touch of cultural reverence. Rashmika was seen walking down a mountain toward Vijay during the ceremony, a moment that fans are already calling iconic.
True to his thoughtful personality, Vijay made sure all of Rashmika’s favorite sweets were on the wedding menu. Because of course he did.
The evening brought a second celebration honouring Rashmika’s roots — a Kodava wedding ceremony, reflecting the rich traditions of the Kodava community from Coorg, Karnataka.
Intimate, Guarded & Absolutely Beautiful
The wedding followed a strict no-phone policy, keeping the celebration private and heartfelt. Close friends from the industry — including Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Tharun Bhascker, Rahul Ravindran, and Ashika Ranganath — were part of the festivities.
The venue was adorned with florals and banana leaves, giving it a rustic, organic charm that perfectly matched the couple’s aesthetic. Pre-wedding festivities included a sangeet night where the couple arrived hand-in-hand, sparking fan frenzy online.
Fans flooded social media with emotional tributes — one viral post read: “Geetha has finally found her Govind for life.” A nod to their 2018 hit Geetha Govindam, the film where VIROSH magic first truly ignited on screen.
