VIROSH Wedding Exclusive: Why Vijay Deverakonda & Rashmika Mandanna Are Celebrating Two Cultures in One Day

When two people from different worlds come together, there’s a choice to make — whose traditions do you honour? Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna answered that question beautifully: both.

In an exclusive scoop, it has been confirmed that the couple will be holding two separate wedding ceremonies on February 26, 2026 — a traditional Telugu Hindu wedding honouring Vijay’s roots, and a customary Coorg (Kodava) wedding celebrating Rashmika’s heritage — both taking place at the lavish ITC Mementos, Udaipur.

Two Cultures, One Love Story

This isn’t just a logistical detail. It’s a deeply personal statement. The Kodava people of Coorg are known for their rich, distinct cultural identity, warrior heritage, and vibrant wedding traditions that are uniquely their own — a world apart from the Telugu Hindu ceremonies Vijay’s family would be accustomed to. For the couple to honour both with equal weight is a gesture that speaks volumes about the respect and love running through this union.

The celebrations leading up to the big day have been just as heartwarming. At the Sangeet ceremony, Vijay’s mother presented Rashmika with treasured heirloom bangles — a deeply symbolic act of acceptance from one family to another. Multiple artists were reportedly flown in to make the celebration unforgettable.

The Haldi and Mehendi rituals were scheduled for February 25, the day before the wedding. A team of pandits was spotted arriving at the Udaipur venue to ensure both ceremonies unfolded with full traditional authenticity and cultural precision. Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga and director Rahul Ravindran were among the close guests who made the journey to attend.

The Note That Said It All

When the couple announced the wedding, they named the entire celebration after the fan-given nickname VIROSH — a blend of Vijay and Rashmika. Their joint statement acknowledged that fans had gifted them this name long before they made anything official, and they chose to honour that love by building the wedding around it.

That’s not just PR. That’s who these two are.
