The Love Story Behind “VIROSH”

The couple’s wedding name — VIROSH — is a blend of Vijay and Rashmika, and it’s the sweetest detail of this whole story. The pair first shared the screen in Geetha Govindam (2018), directed by Parasuram, which became a massive blockbuster. They followed it up with Dear Comrade (2019), and the on-set chemistry sparked endless speculation about a real-life romance.

For years, both stayed famously tight-lipped. Then came the official confirmation — a heartfelt social media post declaring their relationship and announcing their wedding plans to the world. Udaipur, known as the City of Lakes and a dream destination for Indian weddings, forms the perfect backdrop for this union.

The wedding is strictly intimate — a no-phone policy is reportedly in place, and the guest list is limited to close family and friends. The couple was already spotted jetting off to Udaipur in coordinated grey blazers and white shirts, looking every bit the stylish pair their fans always knew them to be.

What Comes Next — Their First Film as Husband & Wife

Fittingly, Vijay and Rashmika won’t be stepping away from the camera after marriage. Their upcoming period action drama Ranabaali, directed by Rahul Sankrityan, is slated for release on September 11, 2026 — marking their first film release as a married couple. Vijay also has Rowdy Janardhana lined up for December 2026. Rashmika, meanwhile, is expected to join the massive AA22xA6 alongside Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone.
