The American audio brand, Skullcandy, is one of the most famous headset-making companies in the world. In November 2020, Skullcandy launched two new products from its pipeline in the Indian market. These were Spoke (TWS) and Crusher Evo (Over-ear Headphones). Now, Skullcandy has come out with its first-ever truly wireless earphones which are named Indy ANC.
The Skullcandy Indy ANC, the company’s first active noise canceling (ANC) true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds, comes with a customizable Audiodo Personal Sound feature and also offer ambient listening mode. These earbuds also come with the Tile tracker. This feature will help the user locate the earbuds when they have misplaced them. This is a very helpful feature because every now and then we do find ourselves misplacing small objects like earbuds. Thus, this Tile tracker will be of huge benefit to the users.
You can connect the earbuds with the Skullcandy App. The Audiodo Personal Sound feature mentioned above will customize sound as per users’ listening preferences. To offer robustness, these new Skullcandy earbuds come with IPX4-rated sweat and water resistance and feature a 12mm dynamic driver. It also supports Bluetooth 5.0. The ambient listening mode will be activated after tapping and holding the main sensor. If you tap and hold the sensor again, noise-canceling will be switched on again.

In terms of battery, the company claims that it can last up to 19 hours with the active noise cancellation (ANC) feature on. The earbuds can work continuously for 5 hours with ANC on and this runtime increases up to 9 hours if ANC is switched off. The Skullcandy Indy ANC is offered along with a case that supports wireless charging and has a rapid charge feature. The latter helps the earbuds to deliver 2 hours of playtime from a 10-minute charge. With the charging case, the earbuds can last 32 hours.Â
In India, the Skullcandy Indy ANC is priced at Rs. 10,999 and will be available in True Black colour. You can also pre-order the product by visiting Skullcandy’s official website. The sale of the earbuds is expected to start from 4th April 2021.
