What Exactly Did Forrest Smith Do?

During Super Bowl week — arguably the most high-pressure period in any NFL quarterback’s career — social media personality Forrest Smith posted a video openly admitting she knew Drake Maye was married, then proceeded to DM him anyway. The video, later picked up by TMZ, went viral for all the wrong reasons.

In the clip, Smith speculated about Maye’s post-AFC Championship body language before pivoting to unsolicited comments about his wife, Ann Michael, calling her a “tradwife” and suggesting Maye could do better. She immediately acknowledged the comments were inappropriate — then made them anyway.

She then sent Maye a direct message inviting him to skip Disney World and come party with her in Miami instead, sharing screenshots of the unopened DM publicly on social media.

Why Nobody Was Impressed

The internet responded — and not in Smith’s favour. Drake Maye, who has been with Ann Michael since middle school, is widely regarded as one of the more grounded young quarterbacks in the NFL. Patriots fans were quick to point out that the two have navigated fame and public life long before Smith’s video ever existed.

The fact that Maye’s DM sat completely unopened — a detail Smith herself broadcast — only reinforced the narrative that this was a one-sided attention grab during the biggest week of a young quarterback’s career.

Neither Maye nor his representatives issued any response, which said everything without saying a word.
